Our Mission
Bookworms United is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit innovation lab on a mission to close the literacy gap through technology, creativity, and community. We combine interactive technology, gamified learning, and evidence-based instruction to boost literacy for students, especially those with limited access to books and resources. Our programs are grounded in the Science of Reading and built to increase engagement, equity, and outcomes.

Goals
Influence: We want students to achieve a 10% increase in their phonological and reading proficiency at grade level.
Access: We will ensure every student has access to a home library containing at least ten books and a dictionary.
Innovation: We're developing innovative AI and ML technology to empower student learning.
Our Impact
At Bookworms United, we believe that reading should be a fun experience. Students who read recreationally see greater improvement in their reading and writing ability. Students participating in Bookworms United™ programs show significant Lexile growth correlated with their level of engagement.
